4-Day Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari
Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Overnight: Katunguru (Kazinga Wilderness Safari Camp)

7:00 AM – Depart from Kampala for Queen Elizabeth National Park (approx. 7–8 hour drive). Enjoy scenic views of Uganda’s countryside, tea plantations, and rolling hills.
Midday

12:30 PM – Stop for lunch in Mbarara or at the Igongo Cultural Centre.
Afternoon

3:00 PM – Continue the journey through Bushenyi, entering the park via Katunguru Gate.

5:00 PM – Arrive at Kazinga Wilderness Safari Camp, check in, and relax.

7:00 PM – Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking, Kazinga Boat Cruise & Community Walk
Morning
6:30 AM – Enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge (Kazinga Wilderness Safari Camp).
7:30 AM – Depart for Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge. Embark on a 2–3 hour guided trek through the lush gorge to spot chimpanzees, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and red-tailed monkeys.
Mid-Morning
10:30 AM – Drive to Katunguru, check in to your lodge, and relax.
Afternoon
2:00 PM – Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel (with Richmart Kazinga Tours). Enjoy a 2-hour scenic cruise filled with sightings of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and vibrant birdlife along the channel.
Evening

5:00 PM – Katunguru Community Walk. Interact with local residents, explore craft shops, and gain insight into traditional life near the park.

Day 3: Kasenyi Game Drive, Ishasha Tree-Climbing Lions & Crater Lakes

6:00 AM – Set out for a Game Drive in Kasenyi Plains, the best time to spot lions, Uganda kob (their primary prey), elephants, and hyenas.
Mid-Morning to Afternoon

9:30 AM – Depart for Ishasha Sector, known for its unique tree-climbing lions (2–3 hour drive).

12:00 PM – Enjoy a picnic lunch en route.

1:30 PM – Begin your Game Drive in Ishasha in search of the iconic lions resting in fig trees.
Evening

3:30 PM – Drive back via the scenic Crater Lakes Region near Katwe.

5:00 PM – Take a Crater Lakes Tour, exploring the dramatic volcanic landscape and breathtaking viewpoints.

7:00 PM – Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 4: Katwe Salt Lake & Flamingos at Lake Munyanyange
Morning

7:00 AM – Breakfast at the lodge.

8:00 AM – Visit Katwe Salt Lake, a traditional salt-mining site, and learn about centuries-old techniques still used today.

10:00 AM – Head to Lake Munyanyange, a seasonal home for migratory flamingos and other rare bird species.

12:00 PM – Return to the lodge for lunch.
